Charity Commission moves into Ministry of Justice building

The Charity Commission moved its London headquarters to new offices on Petty France last week.

The regulator’s previous head offices were in Drummond Gate, in Pimlico (pictured) but it was forced to move after its lease expired.

It will now share its head offices with the Ministry of Justice.

The Commission has several offices around the UK, with half its 300 staff based in Bootle in Merseyside, but its policy function is based in London. The Commission said it could not confirm how many staff are currently based in the London office.

“The Commission’s London-based teams are relocating to a new small office space within a larger government estate office due to the expiry of our current lease,” a spokeswoman for the regulator said.

“All decisions regarding the move were taken to ensure best value for money within our existing budget.”
