The Charity Commission has officially endorsed the Insync 2010 Quality Standards of the National Council of YMCAs as part of its quality standards endorsement programme.
Some 135 YMCAs operate across England and will be subject to the Insync standard which will be used to accredit individual franchises which meet the standard.
The Christian charity worked with the Charity Commission to develop the standard.
YMCA England chief executive Ian Green said:
"We are thrilled to have our Insync Quality Standards endorsed in 2010 by the Charity Commission. Insync is an extremely effective way to ensure YMCAs across England can develop, implement and monitor best practice across the organisation.
"Insync will enable YMCAs to continue providing quality services to those young people and communities who need it most in the future."
