The Charity Awards are back for 2021 with a new category

02 Mar 2021 Announcement

The Charity Awards will take place later this year and charities can now enter a new category.

Organised by Civil Society Media, it is the longest running award programme in the sector and seeks to identify charities with original and effective ideas that the rest of the sector can learn from.

After taking the difficult decision to postpone 2020’s Awards due to the devastating impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have decided that now is the time to celebrate and reflect, on the work of the charity sector over the past two years.

In a live-streamed ceremony taking place on 10 June 2021, we will honour the work submitted by 2020’s applicants. Our judging panel is currently considering these entries and the shortlist will be announced on Friday 7 May.

We have launched a new category; the Rathbones Covid-19 Response Award. We would encourage any organisation that has gone above and beyond during the pandemic to share its work with us so that we can shine a light on examples of demonstrating excellence through adversity.
