Charity Finance Directors’ Group has rebranded as Charity Finance Group, to better reflect the broad range of its membership and reinforce the message that it embraces all levels of charity finance professional, not just heads of department.
CFG made the decision to rebrand as it celebrates its 25th anniversary.
In a letter to members that accompanied the delivery of the Charity Finance Yearbook 2012, the umbrella body’s chief executive Caron Bradshaw said that the role, profile, environment and ‘rules of engagement’ for charity finance professionals had changed hugely over the years. And so it seemed appropriate to mirror these changes by evolving the organisation’s name, she said.
“You will notice that the ‘D’ is no longer present this reflects our broader role in supporting all those with responsibility for charity finance, irrespective of their title,” Bradshaw wrote.
The new name comes with a new strapline too: ‘Inspiring financial leadership’. “We hope you will agree that the new name and strapline reflect the inclusive nature of our organisation,” Bradshaw added.
The new name will be officially launched at a House of Lords reception on Wednesday.
