CAF Bank, the not-for-profit bank owned by the Charities Aid Foundation (CAF), has launched the CAF Bank MasterCard debit card for charities.

The card is free for all CAF Cash Account holders and all standard transactions are free.

Commenting on the launch, Peter Mitchell, CAF Bank Chief Executive said, "Following feedback from our customers, we wanted to be able to offer charities increased flexibility in their banking."

"Our debit card will help provide this and allow them easier access to their money and an even more complete banking service from a charity banking specialist. The card will also help charities to overcome the imposed changes that the anticipated closure of the cheque clearing system will bring in 2018."
