The Charities Aid Foundation has announced the appointment of the first of three regional development managers in an attempt to spread its influence outside of the South East.

John Shah takes position today for the ‘Heart of England and Wales’ and two further managers, one for the north of England and the second, based in Scotland to also cover Northern Ireland, will shortly be in place.

All three managers will promote CAF’s services and work to build long-term relationships with charities, donor and companies, promoting tax-effective giving.

Chief executive of the Charities Aid Foundation, John Low said: “This marks an important step in our strategy. We want to build upon our strong presence in the South East of England to encourage and help more individual donors and companies to give tax-effectively in ways that suit them and to help charity money go further with our banking and fundraising services.”

John Shah has over six years experience in the charitable sector holding fundraising, business development and project management roles. Most recently John worked for W.A.I.T.S (Women Acting in Today's Society) a women’s aid charity based in Birmingham.
