The British Tinnitus Association (BTA) has appointed business consultant Martyn Fray as its new honorary treasurer and Chris Fry, deputy president of Sheffield District Law Society, as a trustee.
Fray (pictured) has over 40 years of industrial and commercial experience and now owns a growing national business consultancy assisting owner-managed businesses grow and prosper.
Fry, who already has an established relationship with the charity, is currently a partner and head of the occupational illnesses and workplace claims team at Wake Smith & Tofields in Yorkshire.
Fry, along with his solicitors firm Wake Smith & Tofields, has already teamed up with Hidden Hearing to offer free hearing assessments, support and advice during Tinnitus Awareness Week, which is organised by the BTA. Hidden Hearing – specialists in providing private hearing healthcare – will donate £5 to the British Tinnitus Association for each hearing assessment carried out at any of its centres during February.
Roy Bratby, chairman of the BTA, welcomes the new appointments: “We are delighted to be welcoming both Martyn and Chris to the Board. They bring with them an unrivalled level of experience in their fields which will no doubt be invaluable assets as the BTA continues to support those with tinnitus as well as funding research into a condition that affects so many.”
