The British Red Cross has teamed up with stylist Emma Slade Edmondson, founder of the ethical fashion blog Back of the Wardrobe, for a London Fashion Week fundraising initiative.

Slade Edmondson (pictured) will take over the charity’s Westminster shop on Saturday and recreate the looks as they appear on the catwalk via the SS15 LFW live stream, using items found in the Buckingham Palace Road store.

The outfits she creates will then be auctioned on eBay to raise money for the BRC’s work.

Paul Thompson, head of retail at the BRC, said the event was part of a joint mission between the blogger and the Red Cross to show that shopping sustainably can be chic and charitable.

“We hope the event will provide us with an opportunity to demonstrate just how on-trend items we have in our charity shops can be, and also to promote ethical shopping to a wider audience,” he said.

“We are very grateful to Back of the Wardrobe for their support and hope that as well as raising awareness of sustainable shopping, it will raise money to support our work helping people in crisis.”

London-based fashion photographer Claire Pepper will be in the store capturing each look as it appears and the images will be posted on Twitter and Instagram to promote the partnership.
