The Institute of Fundraising will launch a new research body by April.

The move comes two months after Lindsay Boswell, chief executive of the Institute of Fundraising, complaining that it lacked ‘practical’ research projects.

Boswell (pictured) told a meeting of delegates that his new body, currently being called a “think bank,” will begin as a free website and hold existing research on fundraising.

It will offer practical advice for fundraisers. As yet, it has not secured funding, but Boswell says he is in talks with potential funders.
