Blackbaud customers can now choose to import donor data from JustGiving into their Raiser's Edge CRM system after the two companies connected their application programming interfaces (APIs).

It is the first integration that has been built using a new umbrella integration application – Blackbaud Links. The company plans to integrate more partner applications in the future.

The first charity to use the new integration is ABF the Soldier’s Charity, Oliver Davey, data and business intelligence manager said: “The ability to download our JustGiving data into the Raiser’s Edge (CRM system) will be a big time saver for us and ensures we can make more effective use of that data to better understand our donors and raise more funds.”

A Blackbaud spokesman said “there is a small monthly charge” for the service which will enable customers to download data from JustGiving into its customer relationship management (CRM) system, the Raiser’s Edge either automatically or manually.

Jerome Moisan (pictured), managing director at Blackbaud said: “While we have our own charity-branded event fundraising platforms, Heroix and TeamRaiser, we also appreciate that many donors use JustGiving.”

JustGiving released some of its APIs in 2010 which allows third-parties to create applications.
