The Baby Café Charitable Trust has become part of parenting charity the National Childcare Trust (NCT).
Baby Café, which supports women with breastfeeding, has an annual income of £19,473, while NCT’s annual income is £11.6m. A spokeswoman said the merger would result in no redundancies.
Commenting on the merger, Kate Williams, director of Healthcare Professional Services at NCT, said: “For over 50 years, NCT has been helping mums-to-be and new mums with their feeding choices. The Baby Café will enable us to reach out to wider communities and increase the spread and accessibility of breastfeeding drop-ins across the UK, and we’re delighted to be able to widen these services on offer to local families, healthcare providers and PCTs.”
