The University of Kent will offer a new MA in civil society, NGO and non-profit studies for the next academic year.

The University of Kent will offer a new MA in civil society, NGO and non-profit studies for the next academic year.

Taught by the school of social policy, sociology and social research the course aims “to deliver this wide ranging and multi-faceted programme utilising contemporary research knowledge”.

Aimed at students who have previously studied social policy related subjects, civil society practitioners and people currently working in the public or civil society sector, the course starts in September and can be taken either full-time or part-time.

Modules include: organised civil society and the third sector; fundraising and philanthropy; and comparative social policy. 

Recently the University of Leicester announced that it will also be running a similar postgraduate course in civil society for the first time this year.
