Anglia Ruskin University is launching a new course to assist managers of civil society organisations to build the Big Society.

The Cert HE Charity and Social Enterprise Management has been developed by Ashcroft International Business School and is aimed at chief executives and senior managers within charities and social enterprises.

Anglia Ruskin claims it will “equip them with the knowledge to keep them afloat and steer them towards the new opportunities that Big Society presents”.

Modules include marketing, finance and funding, measuring social impact and social enterprise.  The two-year distance learning course costs £823 per year and features around one face-to-face teaching session per month, with assessment based on assignments, projects and presentations.

The course starts at the end of March and applications are being taken now.  Find out more at www.anglia.ac.uk/csemanagement
