Agapao International, which was embroiled in a row with local residents over its plans to sell its headquarters, a community building, to private buyers, has wound up.
The Charity Commission had opened an operational compliance case into the charity last year, after it bought a community radio station.
The charity also caused local consternation when it tried to sell a local community centre.
According to the Lancanshire Telegraph, the Charity Commission has confirmed that the trustees have decided to shut Agapao International.
The last accounts for the charity, filed with the Commission in 2012, show Agapao had an income of £121,753.
