Raising the bar for charity governance

Today, Civil Society Media and Goverance & Leadership magazine are hosting the Tustee Exchange 2018 conference. Now in its 11th year, the conference showcases some of the innovations and solutions that organisations of all sizes have devised to meet the challenges of governing modern charities, as well as addressing key developments and challenges such as the new Charity Governance Code and the incoming GDPR Regulation.

This year's conference includes an opening keynote from the minister for civil society Tracey Crouch, and a closing session from Sarah Atkinson, director of policy, planning and communications at the Charity Commission.

Other sessions include one from Helen Giles, executive director of people and governance at St Mungo's, on building better teams; and one from Peter Zarko-Flynn, director of communications at Cancer Research UK, on developing a proactive comms strategy.
