"David, whilst you are right about the amount of involvement charities have in social care I am not sure we should just sit back and wait for this money to come in. Local authorities are under immense financial pressure and our experience tells us that some councils may try to use all this money to help fill existing budget black holes. Local charities may have to press quite hard to make the case to receive extra funding - and NAVCA members will certainly be helping to make this case locally."
