Join us as a Public Affairs Manager and make that happen.

 

As Public Affairs Manager, you will collaborate with colleagues and oversee our relationship with the Scottish Parliament, political audiences and key contacts. You will support the development and delivery of political advocacy plans for Scotland to help meet our strategic objectives on climate and nature. You will also lead the management of our presence at the party conferences and other external events. You will help develop political strategies and contribute to UK-wide projects too. Important will be the ability to provide strategic political advice to the Scotland Director and others internally on issues of political significance.

 

For this role, you must have experience of working in public affairs and a record of successfully advocating policy change to decision makers. You will demonstrate a strong understanding and experience of the Scottish Parliament, its processes and the broader political environment. You will also have excellent awareness of Scotland’s environmental and climate legislation and the transition to a low carbon economy.

 

An effective communicator you are capable of presenting complicated and new topics concisely and clearly to political audiences. Good at prioritising you will have strong project management, presentation and interpersonal skills too.

 

A team player you are also adept at overcoming obstacles and can demonstrate a passion for the natural world and WWF’s core mission.
