We are wanting to transform the services on offer for young people with additional needs in our area.  We believe that using modern, creative and digital technologies will assist us in this quest and help to raise aspirations in our young people.  We are keen to develop new strategies for sustaining our work as well as developing dynamic service which serve our localities and which produce best practice for others to follow.

As such, we are looking for a confident communicator, with strong organisational skills and a determination to succeed. Ideally, you will have experience of working with well-networked and high-value individuals; setting up new fundraising initiatives; a track record of generating income or similar experience from the private sector.

In this role, you will play a key part in developing and delivering a programme of fundraising activities within Hartlepool and its surrounding areas. This is a fantastic and exciting opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic, proactive individual to take ownership of this role and shape the growth of the organisation’s corporate fundraising. We have seen the organisation’s corporate fundraising income grow in the last 18 months and we want to develop this source of income further.

The postholder will be responsible for drafting and implementing the organisation’s Corporate and Community Fundraising Strategy.

You will be responsible for the maintenance of an organised and accessible filing and documentation system. You will establish and maintain a relationship with donors, volunteers, businesses & external organisations.

You will have proven experience in planning and coordinating fundraising activities and campaigns and strong experience in marketing. You must possess strong negotiation and influencing skills and strong planning and coordination skills. Knowledge of contemporary fundraising techniques and knowledge of office and administration systems and practice is essential. You must be able to think creatively and intelligently. You must hold a full UK driving license and be able to work unsociable hours during campaigns.

The successful applicant will have experience of working in corporate charity fundraising or working in the commercial sector at a senior level, be confident at presenting to a wide variety of audiences and have the ability to write tailored reports and proposals with a strong attention to detail.
