Acquisition Officer – The Role
As the Acquisition Officer, you will play a key role in the development and delivery of our supporter acquisition programme for the UK office. The programme recruits thousands of new financial supporters every year and ultimately works towards helping World Animal Protection achieve lasting impact for animals worldwide.
You will grow your expertise managing the development and day-to-day delivery of multi-channel projects as well as lead on specific projects making an important contribution towards the achievement of UK fundraising objectives and targets.
Supporting the acquisition team, you will be involved in lead generation/conversion, pay per click and mobile giving projects. You will also assist with other activities from DRTV and paid Facebook advertising to Google grants and lottery.
As a strong communicator, you will build relationships with external suppliers and oversee creative production by taking responsibility for collating creative feedback and meeting tight production deadlines. You will also manage external telemarketing partners to ensure the successful and fully compliant delivery of multiple acquisition projects that has supporter experience at the heart.
We will look to you to evaluate your campaigns including completing and presenting end of project reports.
Acquisition Officer – Requirements
The ideal candidate would have worked in a target-driven fundraising team within a charity and been involved in the delivery of direct marketing projects across a range of channels.
You will have experience of co-ordinating direct marketing projects and a good understanding of direct marketing creative processes and practices as well as measures of performance.
You will possess strong communication and time management skills with the ability to write, evaluate and proof engaging, audience-appropriate copy. It goes without saying that you will need to have good attention to detail to achieve this.
