Scott Watkin

Scott Watkin is learning disability consultant at Mencap. Seconded to the charity from April 2011 - June 2011, taking up the permanent role thereafter, Scott acts as spokesman and ambassador for the charity. In this role he is developing a new programme to encourage other people with learning disabilities to become ambassadors in different fields of public life. He is also helping to integrate the voice of people with learning disabilities into the charity's policy and practice.

Scott is a former special olympian and former co-national director for learning disability, responsible for delivering the government’s Valuing People Now strategy.
