Sally O’Neill is finance director for the Historic Royal Palaces, a post she has held since 2004.
After completing a natural sciences degree at Cambridge University, she pursued a career in arts administration. Taking an Arts Council bursary that enabled her to gain experience as a qualified accountant in arts organisations, she got job as finance officer at the British Film Institute. She remained there for two years before spending the next six years as finance controller for the National Theatre. Jobs with shopping channel QVC and Channel 4 then followed until she accepted the position at Historic Royal Palaces.
O’Neill is an accomplished pianist and saxophonist.
