Rupert Hambro

Chairman of the development strategy board, Zoological Society of London from October 2011

Since October 2011 Rupert Hambro has been the chairman of the development strategy board at the Zoological Society of London.

He is also chairman of the trustees at the Silver Trust, deputy president of the National Association of Clubs for Young People, vice patron of the Royal Society of British Sculptors and the honorary president of the British Association of Adoption and Fostering.

Hambro owns a private equity business with investments in a number of businesses and until 1986 was the chairman of Hambros Bank when he left with his father an two brothers to set up JO Hambro, a mergers and acquisitions and investment management business.
