Rui Domingues spent a number of years training in the commercial sector before pursuing a career in the not-for-profit sector. 

His commercial experience was gained working with an international event merchandising company and a large multinational waste management company.

His not-for-profit experience was gained mainly at Samaritans, Chapter 1 and Croydon Churches Housing Association.

He is a member of CFDG’s Technical Accounting Forum, the ACCA’s Technical Advisory Group, a trustee of his local Baptist church and a committee member at BMS World Mission.

He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and a master’s degree in urban (civil) engineering, he started training to become an accountant during the recession in the 1990s.
