Richard Lambert

Chair, Big Society Trust from November 2011

Richard Lambert was appointed to chair of the Big Society Trust, the holding company charged with ensuring that Big Society Capital keeps to its aims, in November 2011 having joined the board in July 2011 along with seven others.

He was the director general at the Confederation of British Industry from 2006 until 2011. He was the editor of the Financial Times between 1991 and 2001 and a member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee from 2003 to 2006.
