Peter Holbrook

Chief executive, Social Enterprise UK from January 2010

Peter Holbrook has been the chief executive of Social Enterprise UK, the national organisation for social enterprises (previously the Social Enterprise Coalition) since January 2010.

In 2001 he founded the Sunlight Development Trust, a social enterprise addressing health and social inequalities in the community and was its CEO until 2009. In 2008 it was named Best New Social Enterprise at the Enterprising Solutions Awards; in 2005 the organisation won the Community Regeneration Awards (BURA) and was highly commended by the Centre for Social Justice in 2007.

Before founding his own social enterprise had spells working for Oxfam, Greenpeace and various disability charities.
