NDCS director of fundraising and communications Mike Wade has been working in fundraising for more than two decades.
Starting out in Oxfam in 1987, Wade worked at the charity for 17 years before moving on to WaterAid where he fundraised for three years. He took up post as top fundraiser at NDCS in 2008.

Wade, who was appointed a lifetime fellow of the Institute of Fundraising in July 2010, was a pioneer in developing the £2-a-month regular gift ask and has been active in the development of the gift aid system. In 2011 he became a trustee of the Institute, and chairs their Policy Advisory Board. Wade is also a trustee of the charities HelpAge International and Childlife.
