Michael Day
Michael Day joined Historic Royal Palaces as chief executive in 2003 from the Jersey Heritage Trust where he had held the post of director since 1987.
Day started his museum career in Norwich in the 1970s before moving to the Ironbridge Gorge Museum as curator of social history. He has also been a member of the faculty of the University of East Anglia Museum Leadership Programme since 1994, co-director of the Nordic Museum Leadership Programme in Denmark and was project monitor for the Heritage Lottery Fund on the new National Maritime Museum Cornwall.
