Maurice Rumbold is chairman of United Response, a leading charity providing services for people with mental or physical disabilities. He is also a member of the Public Guardian Board, a non-executive director of the East Sussex Hospitals NHS Trust and a member of the Business Forum for the University of Greenwich.
He was previously chief executive of National Childrens' Home (now known as Action for Children). Over a substantial period in senior positions at the charity, he was responsible for developing NCH into the largest provider of services to children, young people and families in the UK. Prior to joining NCH, Maurice worked as a senior manager for a number of Local Authority Social Services Departments.
