Matthew Lester

Director of operations, Papworth Trust from 2003

As director of operations for work and learning at the Papworth Trust, Matthew Lester is responsible for strategic development of a range of employment, vocational rehabilitation, training and learning services for disabled people. 

Much of Matthew's effort is focused around influencing policy. He is the chair of Employment Related Services Association (ERSA) and is also involved in a number of national groups such as CBI Welfare to Work panel and British Association of Supported Employment (BASE). Matthew is also a member of CBI Council for East of England and Vocational Rehabilitation Association.

Before joining Papworth Trust in 2003, Matthew was managing director of a national £40m facilities services contractor to the health and education markets.
