Matt Jarratt
Director of social enterprise development, SCA Group from July 2011
Matt took on the role of director of social enterprise development at the SCA Group, a health and social care group of social enterprises, in July 2011.
He moved to SCA following three years with Social Enterprise London (SEL), the leading support and development agency for social enterprise in the capital.
During his time at SEL he managed the creation of the largest network of social enterprises and social entrepreneurs in the UK and authored Transitions, the first guide for local authority workers wishing to establish social enterprises out of the public sector.
His role at SCA is focussed on developing the business, including building new partnerships, winning contracts and building profile.
He has an MSc in policy studies from Edinburgh University and a BA(Hons) in history from Bangor University and has worked developing the social enterprise movement across the UK for a number of years, including a period as policy and communications officer at the Scottish Social Enterprise Coalition. Outside work his interests include playing cricket, going to the theatre and cycling.
