Jeanette Allen

Chief executive, the Horses Trust

Jeanette is a chartered director who began her career in the commercial sector, setting up and running her own successful recruitment business.

After the sale of the business she moved to the charity sector as a fundraiser for the NSPCC and later Bart’s Hospital before becoming the CEO of the MedicAlert Foundation.

During her nine years at MedicAlert, a trading and membership organisation, Jeanette was also a voluntary board member of Dignity in Dying (formally VES) where at various times she held the posts of chair of governance, treasurer and vice-chairman.

Jeanette is now the CEO of the Horse Trust, the oldest equine charity in the world and is a non-executive director of a commercial enterprise, Donate Mobile Ltd. She has been a guest speaker on governance, leadership, business continuity and working successfully with voluntary boards.
