Helen Verney

Helen Verney has been appointed as director of finance at London Diocesan Fund after holding the same role at Jewish Care.

She has an MSc in charity finance from Southbank University. At the age of 27 she secured her first charity role as finance director for Crisis and after three years moved on to become director of finance and IT for the MS Society. She joined Jewish Care in 2005.

Verney lobbies for volunteer input to be properly valued and for a relaxation of the laws on charity trading. She continues to volunteer for Crisis, is treasurer for the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) and a small arts charity, and a regular fundraiser for her local church
