Development and marketing director, YouthNet

Heather Thomas joined online charity YouthNet as development & marketing director in the new year of 2012.

Heather leads on fundraising activity as well as overseeing marketing, PR and internal research practices for the charity, which provides an online support site for 16 to 25-year-olds and runs the national volunteering database, Do-it.

Heather joined the charity following several years working with arts organizations including Tate, the Royal Academy of Arts, Brighton Festival and most recently as a consultant at Wonderbird where she worked primarily with Matthew Bourne and the London Film School. She took on the role from internal interim cover after the previous communications & marketing director, Emma Thomas, became chief executive at the charity in 2011.
