Gail Scott-Spicer
Gail’s first roles were in marketing and communications for London Transport, Metropolitan University, Audit Commission, and London Borough of Barnet.
Taking a step into the voluntary sector she arrived at the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (Acevo) as deputy chief executive before she was 30.
At young people’s charity Rainer she led merger communications activity as director of marketing and communications including fundraising and rebranding to Catch22.
She moved to The Scout Association as director of marketing and communications in January 2009. She leads UK activities on marketing, public affairs, brand, fundraising, internal and volunteer communications.
In March 2011 she was also appointed as trustee of CharityComms, the professional membership body for charity communicators.
Gail is a commissioner on NCVO’s Emerging Leader’s Commission. She holds MA in marketing management, an Institute of Directors diploma in company direction and is a chartered marketer. She lives in Essex with husband Bruce and their Labrador, and enjoys orienteering, the performing arts, and watching Arsenal in action.
