Esther Foreman

After completing an MPhil in Anthropology, Esther went to work in the charity sector campaigning for a variety of causes. She started off at Medecins Sans Frontieres and then moved to Shelter, where she successfully helped to secure government commitment to building extra housing. She then had a stint at Help the Aged where she ran the successful Just Equal Treatment campaign to make age discrimination illegal.

Esther currently works for Mencap where she manages the Policy and Campaigns Team.  Esther lives in NW London, where she is also involved as a trustee for her local housing association. She is also a Clore Social Fellow for 2011.
