Hilary Emery

Dr Hilary Emery has extensive experience of working with and for the benefit of children and young people, initially beginning her career as a primary teacher in Avon and Hampshire. 

Following her role as Dean of Education and Psychology at what is now the University of Worcester, she became an adviser to the Department for Education and led the integration of local support teams for health, education and social care. In 2007 she joined the Training and Development Agency for Schools, managing the successful implementation of extended services through schools and local authorities across England.

In 2011 she was appointed chief executive of the National Children’s Burea.
