Don Redding

Don Redding became the director of policy at health and social care coalition National Voices on 3 May 2011. Previously he worked with the organisation for ten months creating submissions to various government consultations, particularly the Health and Social Care Bill 2011.

Don has had his foot in the non-profit sector since 1991 when he became head of media relations for Save the Children UK. After five years at the charity he moved to Oxfam as head of media for a brief period covering maternity leave before moving to anti-poverty charity Practical Action's international trade and development team where he was head of public affairs.

Almost three years later and Don moved to campaigning for greater coverage of international issues on mainstream TV in the UK when he joined the International Broadcasting Trust in 2001 as the 3WE coordinator.

Then after 15 years in the sector, Don combined his communication skills and knowledge to become head of policy and communications at healthcare campaigning body Picker Institute Europe before opening his own policy and communications consultancy, Don Redding consultancy limited in May 2010.
