Derek Manuel
Board committee member, ADD International from July 2011
Derek Manuel was global human resources and child safeguarding director at Save the Children for just shy of eight years before leaving to pursue several non-executive roles in April 2011.
Derek became a consultant for individuals and organisations in February 2011 and is currently a non-executive director of the Crown Prosecution Service and of the Taunton and Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, and board committee member at human rights charity ADD International.
Before his time at Save the Children, Derek held a number of roles in the private sector. He has been global human resources director at Misys Banking systems, Symantec and Hitachi Data Systems. His experience spans business acquisitions, mergers, restructures, downsizing and ownership across 70 countries.
He is a regular public speaker in human resources strategy including assisting in London Business School and Cass Business School masters programmes.
Derek is an alumni of the London Business School, the Center for Creative Leadership in Greenboro, USA, and fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
