David Nussbaum

Chief executive, WWF UK

David is a qualified accountant with over 30 years experience working in finance and accountancy. He  worked for PriceWaterCoopers, venture capital company 3i and European packaging company Field Group plc before transfering his skills to the voluntary sector.

His first charity role was as director of finance, information and planning and deputy chief executive for Oxfam. During his six years at the charity he was seconded for six months to take charge of Oxfam’s programme in India.

David was the chief executive of Transparency International based at the international secretariat in Berlin from 2002 to 2007 before being appointed to his current role. He retains a vested interest in Transparency International, joining the trustee board for Transparency International UK in 2008. He is also chair of its membership committee and a member of the finance and audit committee.

David is a non-executive director of the private equity fund Low Carbon Accelerator; and of the fair trade finance company, Shared Interest. Until 2006, he was the (non-executive) chair of Traidcraft.
