Andrew Watt is the vice-president of international development at the Association of Fundraising Professionals in the USA, a role that was created specifically for him. Before that he was head of policy at the UK Institute of Fundraising.
His remit in his new role is to identify gaps in fundraising infrastructure worldwide.

The first 11 months of 2011 saw overall giving in the US rise by 3.4 per cent in comparison to 2010, returning giving levels to those last seen in 2007.
