Alma Devine

Corporate fundraiser, Literary and Philosophical Society from September 2011

Alma has worked in the charity fundraising sector continuously for more than 37 years, currenlty as a corporate fundraiser for the Literary and Philosophical Society.

Before that she was the fundraising and corporate relations officer for Young Enterprise.

She spent twelve years working full-time for Mencap - a charity for people with disabilities. Here she worked as the development manager helping to set up and pilot the first north east regional fundraising office, before moving to The Prince’s Trust to be the private sector fundraising manager.  

For the years preceeding these roles Alma worked voluntarily on a part-time basis for the Gateshead committee of Diabetes UK.
