Alistair is a partner at Lindsays Solicitors.

Alastair is accredited by The Law Society of Scotland as a specialist in charity law. He has extensive experience in acting for clients in the charity sector in a wide variety of areas throughout Scotland. As a regular speaker at seminars, conferences and training events he has first-hand knowledge of the sector and provides accurate and timely advice to his clients. Alastair is treasurer and council member of The Cockburn Association and a board member of Alba Conservation Trust and Leith Theatre Trust.

Alastair was shortlisted for "Solicitor of the Year" at The Law Awards of Scotland 2009

Scottish transfer of assets regulations 'fundamentally flawed'

Proposals by the Scottish government to protect charitable assets at risk through misconduct by a charity's governing body have been slammed by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland, which says the move could put beneficiaries and creditors at risk.
