Scotland Chair, Big Lottery Fund from 2006 - 2011

Alison Magee announced her resignation after a five year term as Scotland chair for BIG in July 2011.

As a prominent figure in the Scottish political circuit Alison was the convener of Highland Council for the four years to May 2007 and has had nearly 20 years’ experience in Scottish local government as an independent councillor. These include four years as Convener of Sutherland District Council, chair of Highland 2007 (the year Scotland celebrated Highland culture), and chair of Inverness City Partnership.

She has also been a member of the Highland Health Board, board member of Caithness and Sutherland Enterprise, and previously ran a small business.
