NSPCC launches safeguarding resources for professionals

05 Mar 2019 News

The NSPCC has launched a new website to provide safeguarding information for professionals working with children and young people.

The website, NSPCC Learning, shares free safeguarding news and examples of best practice. Professionals working with children will be able to purchase a number of services, including training courses, safeguarding assessments, teaching resources and consultancy for schools.

Paul White, NSPCC learning digital lead said: "The new learning portal will provide a one-stop shop for professionals wanting guidance and access to expert designed courses on how to effectively keep children and young people safe."

It was developed by drawing on information from different sources on the charity’s existing website and making it available in one place.

A spokesperson from the charity said that money gained from the programme will be reinvested in the charity’s work. Online training courses are listed as costing between £20 and £30. There are also face-to-face training courses, but the charity declined to comment on how much they will cost.

The website was developed by agency, WPN Chameleon.
