Tom Wright

Prior to joining Age UK as chief executive, Tom Wright was CEO of VisitBritain, the national tourist board, promoting Britain around the world.

Before his entry into the civil society sector Tom worked at the Saga Group, where he was managing director of Saga Holidays and a group board director.

In his earlier career he worked for Scottish and Newcastle plc developing Center Parcs in England and then in Europe. He has a marketing and commercial background having worked on such brands as KP, Anchor and Carlsberg.

In 2007 he was awarded a CBE for his services.

Tom is also a trustee of the Imperial War Museum and chair of the Trading Company.
