Mike Parker

Interim director of fundraising, NSPCC from March 2012 - September 2012

Mike Parker became the NSPCC's interim director of fundraising in March 2012. In September it was announced that he would leave at the end of the month and that NSPCC would appoint a permanent director of fundraising.

He has worked at Channel 4 since 1992 and announced he was leaving last November. He replaces Paul Amadi, who left to become director of funding at Diabetes UK last December.

This was Parker’s first job in the charity sector.  He had been head of strategic sales and commercial marketing since 2000 and has been credited with the broadcaster’s innovative approach to the ad-break. He was part of the organisation’s in-house sales team in 1993 and was London sales manager between 1996 and 2000.
