Ian Bucknell

Executive director of operations, Asthma UK from 2002

Ian Bucknell joined Asthma UK as operations director in 2002 and will retire in February 2012 but plans to remain engaged with the sector.

He has also worked with Action for Children and currently chairs their investment committee and recently became the honorary of ROSPA.

He was originally an engineer before training as a charted accountant. For nine years he was the business controller of Bertelsmann’s direct marketing operation in the UK.
