An e-mentoring scheme designed for civil society organisations is set to be launched across the European Union.
Cardiff Community Housing Association (CCHA) is introducing an online HR system for staff to book annual leave, check their career development and assess risks of particular tasks. Carval Computing has developed a browser through its HR Unity range for CCHA to manage its human resources and training processes for employees.
The Samaritans will start training its volunteers via the internet through open source learning management system Moodle from April. Moodle, which allows users to build and administer courses, is already used by the Open University, NHS and Cisco for elearning. The software tracks students and enables trainers to see who are visiting the courses and completing assessments.
