Board papers

It is the responsibility of the chief executive to ensure that trustees have sufficient information to make informed decisions. The quality of board papers has an enormous impact on the quality of discussion and decision-making at board meetings and therefore the quality of governance. Board papers that are presented to trustees in order to help them make decisions should gather all the relevant information together into a coherent case. Such papers might include the findings of consultation or research.
