Volunteer-run communications agency BrightOne has launched a microvolunteering web app enabling charities to post small tasks for volunteers to complete online.
Charities can register with the BrightWorks web app and post small tasks in areas such as PR, marketing, social media and design that registered volunteers can then complete online.
So far 10 charities have signed up to the app, including the British Ornithology Trust, Refugee Week and Carbon Leafrog, and eight tasks were completed in the first day.
There is no charge for either charities or volunteers to register on the site which is currently in the beta phase of development.
At the moment BrightWorks is only available as a web app but BrightOne hopes to develop a smartphone version.
